Integration of robot, spindle/positioner, and thermal spray equipment for salvage and repair

Large Caterpillar spindles, axles, and wheels require thermal spray operations to salvage and repair when worn. To manipulate these parts, Progressive builds special spindles and roller fixtures. A custom HMI integrates the automation with an ABB robot and thermal spray equipment.
