Integrated gantry, conveyors, and feed system, all controlled by CNC

This hydraulic shear project is another result of Progressive Surface’s project management expertise. The success of this project hinged on the design and build of a flexible material handling system integrated with a 20-ton hydraulic shear that would allow the customer to automatically shear product on all four sides from plat stock. The material handling equipment consists of in-feed and out-feed conveyors, shear gauging system, overhead gantry conveyor system with programmable suction cups, scrap handling equipment, and controls.
