Automatic Tube Shot Blast for Scale and Slag Removal
Home / Grit Blasting Videos / Automatic Tube Shot Blast for Scale and Slag Removal
Cell automatically loads parts from a previous operation to remove scale and slag from both the inside and outside diameter surfaces. The system automatically gauges the length and diameter of each part at the load station. The part rotation, gun mover speed, and nozzle stroke length are updated automatically. At the end of the blast cycle, the return stroke blows down the part and the tube is automatically ejected. The system handles parts from 8 to 18 inches in diameter and 15 inches to over 6 feet in length weighing up to 1,200 pounds. The Allen Bradley PanelView Plus 600 is used as the Operator Interface.
