Multi-Process Thermal Spray System for Airline Overhaul

Share

This custom robotic thermal spraying booth with a 4-axis Gantry robot is ideally suited for Plasma spraying, HVOF spraying, and Arc Spraying coatings on aircraft turbine engine and airframe components. The main spindle provides rotation up to 600 rpm. A secondary spindle provides indexing capability for processing fan disks. Also included is a horizontal spindle to provide rotation for long shafts placed horizontally on roller assemblies. With the Siemens CNC control, programming is easy, and precise motion control of all machine axes is guaranteed.

The thermal spray machine enclosure is a large, sound absorbing room with a large dual-leaf load door containing two viewing windows. Parts are loaded through these doors onto the rotary table. A dual pivot jib hoist is offered to facilitate this. Overspray dust is collected through a reclaim floor below the spray area in the cabinet.
